Working at Heights Course

Gregory Signs took part in the Working at Heights Course, by the Canadian Safety Group Inc.

The Working at Heights program is designed to provide the basic knowledge required to work safely in areas where there is a possible exposure to fall hazards. The course addresses safe practices and procedures as specified in Regulations enabled by the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario.

Goals and Objectives of the Program

  1. Trainees will know the importance and what preventative measures can be taken to avoid and prevent falls from heights.
  2. Trainees will understand the OHSA laws and regulations as they pertain to Working at Heights and be able to recognize hazards, know the hierarchy of controls and what safety procedures to take in order to minimize risks.
  3. Trainees will correctly identify the various types of equipment available to protect them when working at heights applicable to the task and situation encountered.
  4. Each trainee will physically demonstrate a proper inspection of a harness that has been intentionally flawed, and correctly identify the reasons it cannot be used.

We Care About the Safety of Our Employees

Here at Gregory Signs, we care about the safety of all our employees. Employees who complete the training are more confident and are able to perform better in the workplace, which ultimately leads to better service for our customers. We want to provide our customers with the best overall value when they purchase our signs and services, making their purchase as convenient and pleasurable as possible.
